Our Vision for the Traverse Life Center is to provide a place to serve the Grand Traverse community as a Christian-based ministry to individuals and families struggling in the area of poverty, addiction, family dysfunction, or inadequate housing through the Spirit-filled ministry of prayer, deliverance, accountability, life skills and personal growth training, counseling, mentoring, and direct financial assistance or housing assistance. We seek to provide individuals the tools needed to adequately defeat the works of the devil and walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for us. It is our desire to see people reach their full God-given potential and be a positive force in the Kingdom of God. We seek particularly to target the marginal population often over-looked by government or other "extreme-case" social service agencies (i.e. homeless shelters, emergency crisis centers.) Missions Statement Traverse Life Center is a Christ-based non-profit ministry established in 2004 by Living Hope Assembly of God Church in Traverse City, MI in response to continued frustration over the bondages individuals were experiencing in the areas of addiction, poverty, failing marriage, and family issues. Pastor Carey Waldie had a vision of an outgrowth ministry of the church that could directly work with individuals and families from both the church and community to assist them in growing spiritually, and prospering economically, emotionally, and physically. He desired to have a ministry that would work to build and develop people into being all that God designed them to be.
